it just happens...
According to my site meter, i still have an audience here, and a pretty darn steady one i'd say... you LURKERS are out there are checking... i knew it!.. ahem.. JANY LO! haha
so anyway months has passed since i last blogged and as i said to pete when he asked me last night why i haven't updated this ole thing in ages...
where do i start? so much has happened since i stopped writing.. where do i start?
so much has happened since february.. and i dont quite know why i stopped blogging.. i just stopped. i think it could well be because i simply got sick and tired of my own whinging and decided to do something about it.... i said i would at the beginning of the year didnt i? ... i dunno.
anyway so a few days after melbourne, i upped and took a trip to queensland with about 20 odd people, at the time i had so much to blog about, all the adventures.. all the dramas... all that now seems too distant in my memory to recollect.
i have photos to show for them though... (see photos link on side).
and then when i came back, the job i was meant to come back to got delayed, so i kinda fluked a temping job... which happened to be in the legal department of a big company... and then one thing led to another and now here i am, today was my first day as a perm... ill write more about it when ive decided how i feel about it. YES! ofcourse im over the moon... but i dont quite want to talk about work outside of work so ill let it be...
they say every now and again someone stumbles into your life and they change everything, occassionally i meet people who motivate me, who make me aspire to be something better.. and occassionally i meet people who re-enforce to me that theres so much more to life and that life doesn't have to be plain...
so while i was temping i met bec. (not me, another bec)... bec and her husband are from wales here on a working holiday. they upped and left their jobs and their mortgage to come to australia to travel for a year.
and although that sounds very fanciful and spontaneous... the trip was anything but that. she had her life very well organised, she knew what she wanted.. she knew what she was doing and she knew how to go about doing it...
so anyway... to cut a long story short, bec encouraged me not to settle for something i didnt really want and she helped to dig me out of a really big hole i didnt think id make it out of... she helped me realise what i wanted to do and gave me the courage to do it... and then last week she walked right back out, dont worry.. shes fine! (she just finished her stay in sydney and is making her way to other parts of the country)...
i guess theres really no point to that story except that... although she didnt know it.. she totally changed my perspective on life and helped me make some very tough choices and i guess sometimes life and things just happen like that doesnt it?
glad to be back
bec
