happy (long weekend) easter

i've been waiting all week for the long weekend..

i don't know why.. but i anticipated fun and excitement... the thrill of summer coming back

hoping to re-live festivities... dewy summer nights... warm sun glistening..

i guess i was expecting the weather to suddenly change for easter... just because it was the long weekend and most people didnt have to work...

this morning it dawned on me that i still couldn't let go of the now notional "summer"...

i woke up and it was miserably chilly, good friday also meant that nothing's open... it means the same old easter tv programs about jesus and the cruxifixion (sp?) and basically i realised that there is absolutely nothing to do.

catching up on my work was NOT an option... there was no way i was going to do work when everyone else had the weekend off! ill deal with that next tuesday... the day after.

.. so here i am left with nothing to do.

.. so here i am blogging about nothing in particular

theres not much planned for this weekend.. and after i got home BEFORE 12 last night i came to the realisation that this is going to be another lazy weekend.

i just woke up so im getting confused with my grammar and tenses so forgive me.. to write "is" or "was" and to decide between the two is a complex task at the moment because its the long weekend and the brain shuts down for that.

so tomorrow the guys are going to jervis bay for two days and nights of boooze, beach and babes.. (i added the last word in for effect... i think its called alliteration or assonance...who knows... brain is on holiday mode)

anyway tomorrow they're off and im stuck here cos i cant afford it as usual... but im cool with that cos i dont booze and its much too cold for the beach (i repeat this to myself)...

seems like everyone is going away to bid adieu to summer... in the wise words of peter t "im going to avoca beach and im going to end summer with a bang" ...

i hope he didnt mean "bang" literally cos it conjures up bad images i dont want to see

so yeah...
