trains

i got really cranky with cityrail today... wait... is that what our train system is called?

... nevertheless i got really cranky with our train system today, i was alright with it for the past month or so, but today ... i cracked it!

i was cursing it all the way to the city and i was cursing it all the way to work and i was cursing it all the way home and when i got home i cursed it some more!

okay so maybe i did get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning and maybe that contributed to my agitation but seriously! NOT - HAPPY - JAN!

it was UNNN-BELIEVABLY slow today, and to make matters worse it had to friggin stuff up. some track changing system stuffed up and the station master had to manually change the tracks which meant the train literally stood still for what seemed like an eternity and an eternity is too damned long to be cooped up in the stinky filthy grime ridden seat with the morning breathing ratrace! it also caused me to be so damn late for work! and then to top it off, when the train finally arrived at my stop aside from having to push past a shitload of stinkin people to clamber up the escalators the damned ticket machine decided to have a game of you snooze you lose with me!

seriously! how hard is it to make a machine that didnt clamp people to death?

yes thats what happened, although i didnt die from it.. i sure felt like i did! so i stick the ticket in the machine amidst the hussle and bussle with people shoving me left right and centre and i squeeze my way through to small opening when the machine decides to friggin close clamping the right hand side of my hips to the left hand side.

so then not only was i frigging late for work i couldnt even walk properly and had to hobble in my agony and my fuming state the 10km trek to work.

got to work, had my gripe about my journey to work with my neighbour tame and got on with my day and slowly tried to erase all memory of the awful train ride....

until i had to go home!

the train and all its wonderful filthy glory welcomed me with the stench of urine... (who the hell urinates on the train? who does that?)and decides to tease me by moving at the same UNNN-BELIEVABLY slow pace it was moving at this morning...

i sit amidst my immense boredom attempting to do anti-deep vein thrombosis exercises in the limited space that i had between bags and arms and legs and what nots whilst i try to block out the loud telephone conversations that the other commuters were having (seriously, who the hell has loud hour long conversations on the train when they know damned well the whole bluddy carriage has to listen to their lame conversations?).

AND THENNNNNNNNNNNNN there was this chick sitting behind us with her boyfriend who could NOT stop laughing which annoyed the shit outta me cos in between her fits of laughter.. actually annoying giggles, she was snorting and talking under her breath which made me extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely paranoid. so badly that i had to keep checking to see if i had some sorta kick me sign on my back.

so yeah thats my gripe for the day, hope everyone had a lovely easter break... im already hanging out for anzac day!

cheers

snoop d-o-double-Gee 'boss'n up tour'

yes as the title suggests, last night i attended the snoop dogg concert woot woot or as snoop would say 'woof woof' haha

it was alright, lots of anti-climaxes cos we waited like 3 hrs before he came on the stage... if it wasnt for the wait and the fact that we involuntarily passively smoked weed from what seemed like everyone around us, it would have been good. it got to a point where easy-going me got kind of irritated by the smell cos i was involuntarily getting the munchies!

so he came on stage sounding and looking EXACTLY like he does in the videoclips, looking abso-fucking-lutely stoned to the point where he couldn't even open his eyes, and weed seemed to be the theme of the night. his uncle joe even did a serenade to the damn plant!

so why the snoop dogg concert you might ask? well my justification was like this:

im a huge tupac fan, tupac will never do a concert here for obvious reasons, tupac used to ride with snoop and therefore near enough was good enough.

and yes snoop did a tribute to PAC! "we love you 2pac... we miss you 2pac", but what got me abit puzzled was the fact that he also did a tribute to Biggy ... an eastcoast rider... so im guessing the rumours about the former east-coast/west-coast rivalry were just rumours? who knows.

at the end of the day i like snoop... he did the oldies and goodies like gin 'n' juice so i was happy.

on another note, i finally got my motorbike helmet yesterday, its this slick black AGV one and after months of searching for the perfect one i finally got one! woot woot ... uhhh... woof woof! im thinking of putting them flashing bicycle lights on em just incase people dont see me at night! haha ill stick them everywhere so id be one big colourful flashing traffic light haha

jokes jokes

thats it for me for now

it just happens...

According to my site meter, i still have an audience here, and a pretty darn steady one i'd say... you LURKERS are out there are checking... i knew it!.. ahem.. JANY LO! haha

so anyway months has passed since i last blogged and as i said to pete when he asked me last night why i haven't updated this ole thing in ages...

where do i start? so much has happened since i stopped writing.. where do i start?

so much has happened since february.. and i dont quite know why i stopped blogging.. i just stopped. i think it could well be because i simply got sick and tired of my own whinging and decided to do something about it.... i said i would at the beginning of the year didnt i? ... i dunno.

anyway so a few days after melbourne, i upped and took a trip to queensland with about 20 odd people, at the time i had so much to blog about, all the adventures.. all the dramas... all that now seems too distant in my memory to recollect.

i have photos to show for them though... (see photos link on side).

and then when i came back, the job i was meant to come back to got delayed, so i kinda fluked a temping job... which happened to be in the legal department of a big company... and then one thing led to another and now here i am, today was my first day as a perm... ill write more about it when ive decided how i feel about it. YES! ofcourse im over the moon... but i dont quite want to talk about work outside of work so ill let it be...

they say every now and again someone stumbles into your life and they change everything, occassionally i meet people who motivate me, who make me aspire to be something better.. and occassionally i meet people who re-enforce to me that theres so much more to life and that life doesn't have to be plain...

so while i was temping i met bec. (not me, another bec)... bec and her husband are from wales here on a working holiday. they upped and left their jobs and their mortgage to come to australia to travel for a year.

and although that sounds very fanciful and spontaneous... the trip was anything but that. she had her life very well organised, she knew what she wanted.. she knew what she was doing and she knew how to go about doing it...

so anyway... to cut a long story short, bec encouraged me not to settle for something i didnt really want and she helped to dig me out of a really big hole i didnt think id make it out of... she helped me realise what i wanted to do and gave me the courage to do it... and then last week she walked right back out, dont worry.. shes fine! (she just finished her stay in sydney and is making her way to other parts of the country)...

i guess theres really no point to that story except that... although she didnt know it.. she totally changed my perspective on life and helped me make some very tough choices and i guess sometimes life and things just happen like that doesnt it?

glad to be back
bec
